Less then 15% lived below the poverty line in the 70's. The rich continue to get richer, while everyone else suffers.

For the last twenty years corporate America has been outsourcing millions of well paying jobs overseas and historically corporate America's tax rate is the lowest it has ever been but they continue outsourcing well paying jobs.

　　So lowing taxes on corporations will not create jobs but just the opposite. They will continue to outsource jobs until it cost them more to hire off shore folks instead of Americans. The only solution to the unemployment problem is to tax the hell out of corporate America and then provide them a tax cut for every job that they bring back to America. You are going to pay more for gas regardless of the tax structure until the demand for gas is lowered..
